PARTICIPANTS: Cyclists aged 10+ as of Tour day (aged 7+ for 15km and 30km routes), of any ability, on any kind of bike (including electric assist), are welcome to participate in this FREE non-competitive cycling tour. Training wheels are AOK. Further details are available as part of registration — please read the online descriptions of the 15, 30, 60 and 100km rides. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children travelling in bike trailers or bike-mounted child seats are not considered to be cycling participants and therefore do not need to be registered individually.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO LIVE IN MISSISSAUGA TO REGISTER ONLINE OR IN PERSON — EVERYONE FROM ANYWHERE IS WELCOME!!
We encourage you to register early so we can predict our numbers for the FREE snacks and the FREE BBQ after the rides! ONLINE registration DEADLINE is Friday, September 13 @ 12 noon. T-SHIRTS: These can be ordered when you register online (some will be available for sale on Registration Package Pickup days. Adult unisex shirts are $15 all-in. Youth sizing available this year for $12 all-in. Click for T-SHIRT DETAILS. TO ENSURE WE HAVE YOUR SIZE IN TIME FOR THE TOUR, PLEASE ORDER BY AUGUST 21. After that, riders can still purchase from our bulk stock as supplies last.
REGISTER: Click the City’s “Connect-2-Rec” box (left) and once you are on the webpage, click on “Register for an Activity“. Then type “tour de mississauga” in the Keyword Search Box. All four route descriptions will then be displayed (15, 30, 60, 100km) – take your pick! You can also type in the barcode number of a specific route (see chart below).
Click the ‘+‘ sign to the left of each ride to view additional information. When you’re ready to register, click “Add” to include a particular ride in your online transaction. You will next be prompted for your account information (if you don’t have an account, you can get one on the spot!), and then will have the option of purchasing Tour T-shirt(s) before check-out. At completion of the check-out transaction, you can view the confirmatory information online, which is then e-mailed to you promptly with your registration receipt. KEEP THIS for picking up your Registration Package (or for having someone pick up for you).

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION: You can register in-person at any community centre or at the Recreation and Parks Service Centre counter on the ground floor of the Central Library up until the online registration deadline of Friday, September 13 @ 12 noon. Miss it? See Walk-in Registration info below.
WALK-IN REGISTRATION: MCAC volunteer citizen members will again hold walk-in registrations in order to ensure that anyone who wants to participate can. YOU MUST COME IN-PERSON, YOURSELF, as you will have to physically sign the City waiver. This walk-in registration opportunity will be offered at the same times and place where we will be providing pre-Tour Registration Package Pick-up for the cyclists who are already registered. IF OUR MAXIMUM NUMBER OF REGISTRANTS IS REACHED DURING THIS TIME, WE MAY NEED TO LIMIT WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS. Avoid long line-ups and please register ahead (online) if at all possible!

MINIMUM AGE as of Tour day: 10 years (7 years for 15km and 30km routes) (recommended). All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please go to our MCAC Contact webpage to get in touch if you feel your under-aged child should have an age override in order to participate. NOTE: Children travelling in bike trailers, bike-mounted child seats or on tandem-tows are not considered to be cycling participants and therefore do not need to be registered individually.
SAFETY: Review our Safety Guidelines. ALL RIDERS (including adults) MUST WEAR A BIKE HELMET.
NOTE: ALL RIDERS NEED TO BE REGISTERED SEPARATELY.
CUT-OFF DATE: No online registrations can be accepted after Friday, September 13, 2013 @ 12 noon. This includes registrations at community centres.
WAIVER: All registrants must accept the City’s standard participation waiver which is viewable upon registration.
