Q: When touring, what are the things that are needed to bring? Will the weather in Toronto be appropriate for touring?
A: The things that you will be needed the most are extra clothes suitable for the ride, sunscreen, and your camera or a smartphone will suffice. To be more prepared for any weather conditions, here are the things you need to be aware of:
- May-August: The weather is expected to be hot, at an average of 18 – 27 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to dress warm clothing like light cotton clothes and even outdoor sandals but prepare a light hood if light rain is forecasted.
- September – Mid October: The weather is expected to be moderately cool, at an average of 14 – 21 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to bring a jacket or an additional layer of clothing to keep you warm. You can stylize with fall colors.
- Mid October – Late March: The weather is expected to be colder, at an average of -2 – 11 degrees Celsius. It is highly suggested to dress in layers to keep the body warm, especially on areas of the head, hands, and feet. If the layer of clothing becomes unnecessary for a certain run, your guide can carry it for you.
- April: The conditions are much the same with the periods September – Mid October and of course, substitute the fall colors with spring colors.
