NOTE: The 5th annual Tour de Mississauga will take place on Sunday, September 16, 2012. See you then!
Tour de Mississauga has begun tracking if participants are members of a cycling club or team. Tallies will be recorded here. Gain some exposure of your cycling club/team to the cycling community in Mississauga.
**** Club Leaderboard tallies will be officially gathered until 10:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010. Any entries after this time will be noted but not affect the team’s placing ****
- The top clubs in the Club Leaderboard will get recognized at the event.
- If you are the winning club, consider sending a spokesperson who can take a minute to share a little about your club at the microphone (time permitting at opening ceremonies as we want to make it quick with hundreds of cyclists wanting to get riding).
- Top club will take “pole position” to lead off the wave.

Dear Cycling Clubs and Teams,
September 18, 2011 is the 4th annual Tour de Mississauga. Again this year we are introducing a 100km road-only route based on feedback from last year’s participants. It is tagged as the “Invesco 100km Challenge Road Ride“. For those of you who would prefer some suburban off-roads, we have the “Media Resources 60km Signature Ride”. There is also the “Grant Thornton 30km Family Ride“. All rides have shortcut options.
The Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC) would love to see a strong representation of cycling clubs/teams in the area. Cycling clubs are encouraged to show up in their jerseys/jackets and colours in order to promote their club/team to other cyclists in the area. The Tour’s Club Leaderboard will track the clubs/teams who are represented. A page on the Tour’s website will list logos and links of the participating cycling clubs who will also get special recognition at the event and have the honour of taking “pole position” on the first wave to depart.
The Tour de Mississauga is not a race, but a social ride for all cyclists that shows off the expanding cycling network in Mississauga. Although it isn’t a race, club members are free to “show us what they got”. Just remember that all rules of the road must be followed (same basic rules as the Race Across America). Cyclists will enjoy a free BBQ courtesy of the Region of Peel when they reach the finish.
This year’s Tour de Mississauga showcases the cycling routes of the Northeast quadrant of Mississauga. The ride departs and ends in Mississauga Celebration Square. Find more information about the Tour de Mississauga and register online for this FREE event at http://www.mississaugacycling.ca/tour
Hope to see you on the Tour!
