Volunteer Marshals - Community Rides

We are grateful to draw on some of our more experienced *adult* riders to assist with marshalling the Community Rides.  We provide hi-viz orange vests (and wash them) for those who can help out and we also equip the Marshals with walkie-talkies and FREE Community Rides T-shirts.

We are inviting past Marshals back and encouraging NEW volunteers to join us for the 2018 Rides series from May through September (Schedule).  Riders interested in marshalling should Contact Us soonest!

NOTE:  When registering for a Community Ride, a Question Box asks: "Will You Be a Volunteer Marshal On this Ride?Answer YES to volunteer (if you have been trained).  Check-in separately at the Ride venue.

MARSHAL TRAINING & ORIENTATION:  Took place on July 5, 2018 for all previous, current and new (adult) volunteer marshals on Community Rides.  With the assistance of the City's Active Transportation Division, we reviewed techniques and procedures for volunteer riding marshals and safety communications in group ride situations.

FIRST AID TRAINING:  Marshals attended a FREE First Aid & CPR (certificate) training session (2 days) in July 2017.

Additional marshal orientation & training sessions will be held as required, and will further add to your (portable) volunteer qualifications.
