The 3rd Annual Cycling Tour de Mississauga takes place on: Sunday, September 19, 2010
This FREE Registration event will take you through the northwest quadrant of Mississauga, Ontario beginning and ending in Streetsville. Once again, participants will enjoy a FREE BBQ at Streetsville Memorial Park at the Tour’s end, compliments of the Region of Peel, which is promoting active transportation and lifestyle choices. We will be providing a selection of different touring routes based on participants’ input from last years 2nd annual Tour de Mississauga.

On my commute yesterday I counted three cyclists out riding on the Mississauga roadways. Spring must be here – especially since the Toronto International Bicycle Show is happening – and the Cycling Committee will be there again. March 5 – 7, 2010.
The Mississauga Cycling Committee will be hosting a booth again at the show. We will be located in the most fun zone. Mississauga News – Sept. 9, 2009 Organizers of the second annual Tour de Mississauga cycling event are on a roll. The event, which attracted just 30 cyclists in its inaugural year, will this year offer an exhilarating ride to more than 100 riders of all ages and fitness levels. The non-competitive cycling event is organized by the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee (MCAC). It leaves Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. from J.C. Saddington Park in Port Credit. Mississauga cyclists were out in perfect sunshine weather for this year’s Bike to Work inaugural pancake breakfast at City Hall. Four police officers from the Peel’s cycling division were on hand to escort the planned ride from Riverwood Park to City Centre. Suddenly all the cyclists were strictly obeying the traffic signs like the ones saying “cyclists dismount and walk across intersection.”
