The Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee and Smart Commute Mississauga invite you to participate in the 4th Annual Bike to Work Day on Monday, May 31, 2010.  In conjunction with these two groups, the City of Mississauga will be hosting a breakfast event at the Living Arts Centre Park on Bike to Work Day to encourage area residents and employees to try cycling to work.

The main group ride is taking place from Riverwood Park Conservancy to the Living Arts Centre.  Participants will gather at the Chappell House Lawn at Riverwood Park at 7 a.m.  The ride will leave Riverwood Park at 7:30 a.m. and proceed east along the Ted Ho (Rathburn Rd.) trail to the Living Arts Centre Park, where participants will be treated to a free pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.  The ride will take place rain or shine! Click here to view the route map.  Or just drop by for breakfast anytime up until 10:00 a.m. on your bike!

Bike to Work Day is recognized by Smart Commute organizations across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, in partnership with Metrolinx and area municipalities.  Smart Commute Mississauga has organized group rides to various employers across Mississauga, as well as the main group ride to the Living Arts Centre.

Join us on Monday, May 31st, 2010 and together, let’s help promote cycling as a viable, environmentally-friendly commute option for a greener, healthier Mississauga.  There will be giveaways and draw prizes for ride participants.
